Class Offerings

Our full-spectrum class roster is designed to grow with you throughout the long lifetime of your practice.  You’ll have the ability to begin as an innocent starter yogi and grow to an adept yogi breaking out into handstands.  Or you just might like to take the chill path and stick to ultra relaxing classes that help you calm and focus.  Either way, we’ve got the class.

Region
AntiGravity Yoga
It's a unique fusion technique incorporating components from dance, Pilates and calisthenics.  The AntiGravity(R) Yoga hammock acts as a soft trapeze and support while you master simple inversions and progress to more advanced poses.  The experience is challenging and fun, and will get you in shape while realigning your body with zero compression inversions.
Anusara

Created by John Friend, Anusara is a joyful form of yoga weaving mindful principles of alignment with graceful, energetic movement. Classes begin with a traditional chant and are taught with a heart-oriented theme. Movements are coordinated with the breath and props may be used for modifications.

Anusara is a good option if you’re looking to emphasize the positive elements in your life and your practice. The physical challenge of Anusara classes will vary so be sure to choose the Level appropriate for you.

Anusara Inspired

Asana Fundamentals

Influenced by Iyengar yoga, this class breaks down the precise actions in the postures to
help teach correct alignment. Props may be used to for individual modification.

Beginners will find this class helpful for learning the basic shapes of the postures,
developing concentration and building body awareness. Seniors and students can benefit
from the therapeutic aspects of a refined practice.

Ashtanga

Based on the classical teachings of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the Ashtanga system includes several increasingly difficult series of postures. In Mysore Style classes, each student will work individually on a series at their own pace, with a teacher coming for adjustments. In Led Ashtanga classes, students are guided as a group through the Primary Series.

In either practice style, postures are linked together in a fast paced flow or ‘vinyasa’, which helps develop a purifying sweat and even, deep breathing.  A particularly athletic and demanding style, Ashtanga is great if you are looking to challenge your stamina, strength and flexibility.

Baby & Me

Rebuild core strength and relieve neck and shoulder tension while interacting with your baby in a supportive environment. Postnatal classes give new moms a chance to gradually transition back to regular practice. Both moms and dads are welcome. For pre-walkers ages 6 weeks to 2 years.

BarWorks®

Leave your ballet shoes at home, but get the same effect workout as a dancer in this engaging class.  With the support of a ballet bar, increase balance, core strength and flexibility using simple and precise moves.  BarWorks® combines the best of yoga, ballet, and Pilates using specific alignment principles from the YogaWorks method. Alternating movement and stretching, you will use your own body weight as a natural tool. Build the elegant, lean muscles any ABT dancer would be jealous of.

Candle Flow
This well-rounded class infuses candlelit ambiance and music set to the pace of an inspired flow. De-stress and detoxify just in time for a good night's sleep.

To be sure that you can fully relax during this class, it’s best if you are already physically active and are comfortable practicing Sun Salutations and vinyasa.

DanceWorks

Let loose in our high-energy, conscious movement dance class that builds heat, strength and flexibility for all levels. DanceWorks™ is taught with the YogaWorks principles at the core – breath, centering, alignment and foundation. You will sweat, find rhythm, and have loads of fun! Even if you think you can’t dance, you can, and we’ll prove it to you! This class is for everyone. “Cardio” based classes that are fun, safe and consistent with YogaWorks quality of instruction, leaving you feeling inspired. This class compliments your yoga practice and will elevate your body and your mind.

Forrest Yoga
Created by Ana Forrest, this style uses intense pose sequences, compassionately taught,
to develop skills in awakening each of the senses. Using breath, Forrest Yoga will teach
you to bring aliveness into every cell of your body, igniting your passion for living.

Expect to sweat in Forrest classes as you build strength, and connect to your core. Try
this style if you like intensity and want to deepen both your physical and spiritual
practice.
Free Orientation

Trying something unfamiliar always requires courage and a leap of faith.  To make it a little easier for you to make friends with your yoga mat, a special Free Orientation has been designed to help you learn what the heck yoga is anyway, and get you prepared for your first class.

At a Free Orientation, you will meet many other students who are also brand new to yoga, just like you. You’ll get to try an easy, gentle yoga practice that will give you a taste of the basic postures. Finally, an expert instructor will be available to answer your questions, and you can even meet one-on-one with a Yoga Advisor to plan out a practice schedule.

Fundamentals of Yoga
A free class where you can learn foundational poses, techniques and philosophies.  Class is followed by an informal Q&A to help you select the right classes, yoga etiquette and any other questions on how to get started with a yoga practice.  Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Gentle Yoga
In Gentle Yoga class, the postures are presented in an easy to follow, accessible manner with plenty of time for modifications.  Deeply relaxing, Gentle Yoga may include breath work and guided meditation.

When you feel the need to recharge and rejuvenate yourself, this class will provide a soothing respite.  Also an excellent choice for seniors, students suffering from chronic illness or injuries, and those newer to yoga.
Gentle Yoga w/Restorative

In Gentle Yoga class, the postures are presented in an easy to follow, accessible manner with plenty of time for modifications.  Deeply relaxing, Gentle Yoga may include breath work and guided meditation.  In Gentle Yoga with Restorative classes, props are often used to enable a longer respite in the pose and allow for a deeper release.

Graduate Teacher

Learn to use yoga as a healing tool and a path to vitality. Individual modifications will be
given based on your skill level and health status.
ISHTA

Created by Alan Finger, this of style yoga addresses the individual needs of each student
for a complete physical and spiritual practice. In ISHTA class you’ll practice postures to
strengthen and align the body. Pranayama and meditation help to develop mental focus
and acute observation.

ISHTA includes a basic, well-rounded sequence of poses with an emphasis on breath and
healthy alignment. Always make sure to begin with Level 1 if you are new to yoga.

Iyengar Yoga
This style is named after Sri. B.K.S. Iyengar, a living master who has been developing this teaching method and practice for over 60 years. Iyengar yoga focuses on classic postures with a deep awareness of correct alignment and precise actions in the body.

This therapeutic method is appropriate for anyone - regardless of age, degree of health or other perceived limitations. In addition to building and strength and flexibility, Iyengar yoga can help increase your ability to focus, observe, be present and relax.  Because Iyengar teachers are required to pass on-going rigorous certifications, they usually reflect an especially high level of integrity and expertise.
Kids Yoga

Have you ever wondered what would happen if your kids channeled their exuberant energy before it bubbled over like a fizzy soda pop?  Kids Yoga will give them a chance to learn how. Fun and imaginative, this program is designed to help children build strength, flexibility, and concentration in a non-competitive environment.

Kundalini
An ancient, esoteric form of yoga, Kundalini aims to release pure concentrated energy from the body so it can be used by the practitioner.   Postures and breathing techniques are often practiced with quick, repeated movements to help harness energy and strengthen the nervous system.

Kundalini class can move at a fast pace and include intense breathing, so it is best for students who already comfortable with basic yoga postures.
Meditation

For thousands of years, meditation has been used by cultures and traditions all over the world as a technique to quiet the mind.  Meditation generally involves focusing the mind on an object (such as the breath, a word, or an image) in order calm the whirlwind of thinking.  Regular practice of meditation helps calm the nervous system and allows the body to recuperate from stress.

Ever feel like you wished your brain would just shut up? Join the club.  Anyone can practice meditation and benefit from the deep relaxation and self-awareness that result from a quieter mind.

Pilates Free Orientation

Pilates Mat
Joseph Pilates created this therapeutic method of precise toning and stretching exercises that stems from a combination of dance and yoga.  The movements focus on building core or ‘powerhouse’ strength as the key to good posture and a healthy back.

If you’ve always envied the flawless, upright carriage of ballet dancers, you’ll love how Pilates creates long, lean muscles.  The slow, targeted movements are also excellent for improving back problems and body awareness.
Pilates Mat Plus

Traditional Pilates mat exercises are the foundation of Pilates Mat Plus, but other fun
strength and flexibility moves are thrown in to spice things up. This class will add
variety to your Pilates (or yoga!) practice and take your fitness to the next level by
working your muscles in new ways.

If you’re looking to firm and tone your body, Pilates Mat Plus is the place to go.
Appropriate for all levels of students.

Power Yoga

As it’s name would suggest, Power Yoga is a strong style that can help tone muscles and build stamina.  The rigorous, moving flow in this style will build heat (i.e. sweat) - an excellent aid in increasing flexibility.

Some yoga students, such as athletes, are already strong, but have not yet developed the flexibility or balance required for advanced classes.  Power Yoga is an accessible way to get an amazing workout and become more limber with a fun, fast paced flow.

Pranayama
Learn to practice a variety of breathing techniques that have beneficial effects on both overall health and the nervous system. In this Iyengar style class, one of the most refined aspects of yoga practice - the breath - is quietly moved and held in specific patterns. 

The slow, meditative pace of this class is good for students looking to counteract the effects of stress, become more deeply attuned to their subtle nature, and develop concentration.
Pre/Post Natal

Prenatal Yoga provides a safe and calming environment for pregnant women to nurture their bodies during this wondrous time of life.  This class will help improve balance, circulation, and toning with postures modified for the needs of each trimester.  The deep breathing you will learn will be a huge help when it’s time to give birth. 

Get to know other expectant mothers and learn relaxation techniques that will take you far beyond pregnancy.  Once your baby is born, you can come back to class for Postnatal yoga exercises that will help restore your body and keep you centered.

Prenatal

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese system of breathing exercise and gentle physical
movements. This method seeks to balance the Qi or energy flow in the body, enhancing
health, longevity and overall vitality. Similar to pranayama, this practice is thought to
improve immune system function and lead to an increased sense of happiness and wellbeing.

This slow paced class is excellent for seniors and students looking for a soothing,
restorative practice.

Relax Deeply

Bring recuperation to your organs, nervous system and consciousness. Long supported
holds soothe the mind and encourage an inward focus. Restorative postures and props
combine to bring a calming end to the week or weekend.

All levels of students can benefit from this soothing, slow paced class.

Restorative
These Iyengar classes vitalize the body by increasing circulation to the organs and calming the nervous system. Props are often used to enable a longer respite in the pose and allow for a deeper release. Pranayama breathing techniques may used.

Restorative classes are an excellent way to balance out the stress of modern life.  Students of every level can benefit from a calmer nervous system, and the gradual deep opening this class provides.
Sculptworks TRX

Circuit training that integrates strength, flexibility, and cardio using a “Great Yoga Wall” equipped with stretch bands for resistance exercises and TRX Suspension Trainers for body weight exercises. Other props are integrated, such as Gliding Discs and physio balls, which will help you reach your strength and endurance potential, creating an efficient, lean body.

SculptWorks®
You’ll recognize familiar sculpting exercises such as squats, lunges and bicep curls in this class, but we have a few tricks thrown in to keep you on your toes. Using a “Great Yoga Wall” equipped with stretch bands to create resistance you’ll build, lengthen and stretch muscles creating a beautiful, agile body.  SculptWorks® is a thorough workout that can help you build the strength you need to advance in your yoga practice.

This is a great choice if you want to firm and tone head to toe.  Best for students who are already physically active.
Seniors
Yoga is an excellent technique for aging with grace and zest. In this class, gentle movement encourages improved circulation, while weight bearing standing poses are a safe way to help build bone density.  Awaken areas of the body that have been inactive, soothe aching joints, and your calm mind with this enjoyable practice. 

Any level of practitioner can benefit from this class.  Be sure to tell your teacher about any physical limitations or illness you may have, so she can modify the postures and use props as needed for a more comfortable experience.
Tai Chi

Now widely known for its excellent health benefits, Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese
technique of gentle flowing moves originally practiced as a martial art. Focusing the
mind solely on the slow movements of the Tai Chi form helps to bring about a state of
mental calm and clarity.

This slow moving class is great for seniors and students looking to balance their energy
and cultivate internal power.

Therapeutics
These classes are intended to provide relief from pain and to support optimal functioning of the joints, muscles and organs.  The approach is characterized by gentleness and subtlety. Safe movements restore equilibrium physically, emotionally and mentally.

Seniors and students working with injuries or chronic illness can benefit greatly from this class.

Safe movements restore equilibrium physically, emotionally and mentally. Therapeutics/Back classes will spend extra time on poses that soothe, strengthen, and protect this sensitive area.

TRX

Circuit training that integrates strength, flexibility and cardio, utilizing TRX Suspension Trainers, Gliding Discs, and one's own body weight among other tools. This intimate format will help you reach your strength and endurance potential, creating an efficient, lean body. Pre-Registration Required.

Urban Zen
Trained integrative therapists lead these classes which include restorative poses, reiki, breath awareness, healing oils and meditation. Perfect if you are recovering from an illness or just need to be treated with TLC.
Viniyoga
A traditional form of yoga developed by T.K.V. Desikachar as a way to improve breathing and encourage meditation.  In this practice, postures are often slowly repeated in rhythm with the breath.

A therapeutic style, Viniyoga is great if you have an illness or injury, or simply appreciate a slow, gentle class.  Postures may be modified to meet the needs of your body and ‘pranayama’ or breath work will be taught.
Vinyasa Flow

The demanding strength moves of Vinyasa Flow are where the phenomena of ‘yoga butt’ got its start. This vigorous style of yoga links breath and movement through a nimble sequence of Sun Salutations and postures. The smooth, continuous flow deepens breathing, increases endurance, and will test the edge of your balance and flexibility.

Vinyasa classes are best if you are already physically active, comfortable with the basic yoga postures, and appreciate a healthy sweat.  Depending on the level, Vinyasa classes often include advanced postures such as handstands, arm balances or backbends.

Vinyasa Flow with Meditation

Yin & Yang

For a completely integrated practice, this class combines a strong, heating, ‘Yang’
vinyasa flow with the quiet, cooling ‘Yin’ aspects of relaxing restorative poses. Yin
postures are held longer to cultivate a meditative mindset and deeper physical opening.

Because this class includes a challenging flow sequence, it’s best suited for fit students
who are already comfortable practicing vinyasa.

Yin Yoga
In Taoist philosophy, the qualities of Yin are dark, calm, passive and deep. Based on these principles, Yin Yoga uses passive postures held for longer periods of time to allow for deep opening in the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and spine. Meditation may be used.

Yin Yoga can be practiced by any level of student. However, Yin-Yang Yoga classes will alternate quiet restorative poses with intense flow sequences and require a higher level of fitness.
Yoga Blend
Inspired by a blend of yoga traditions, these classes are taught by teachers who study more than one yoga discipline. Like a patchwork quilt, the fusion of teachings from different lineages lead to a unique class. This style also allows space for the teacher’s creativity to shine.

The difficulty of this class will vary depending on each teacher’s style, so be sure to check the class Level to choose the amount of challenge you prefer.
Yoga with Ropes

This class is based on Iyengar yoga, a style named after Sri. B.K.S. Iyengar, a living master who has been developing this teaching method and practice for over 60 years. YogaBasics

Small class size and individual teacher attention are big advantages offered by this introductory series. YogaBasics is great for students who have injuries, health concerns, or simply want to start strong with a solid foundation. After you complete the course, you can be confident about which classes on the schedule are best for your body and goals.

A great value, this 2-week program includes: 2-Weeks of Unlimited Yoga, a 90-minute semi-private session, a helpful YogaBasics reference manual, a personalized class schedule from your teacher, and discounts for future classes at YogaWorks.

YogaWorks Cardio Flow
Your ultimate goal may be enlightenment, but it never hurt anyone to develop a hot booty along the way. This energetic, variable-tempo class incorporates traditional yoga poses in the modern interval-cardio style that has been proven to speed metabolism and aid in weight loss.  You’ll alternate getting your heart rate up with fast a sun salute flow, then slow down with longs holds so you can feel those buns burn.

Since this class involves a strength work and a faster pace, its best if you are already comfortable practicing sun salutations and have an intermediate level of fitness.
YogaWorks Signature
Our signature classes balance precise instruction, alignment with breath, and fluid movement. Classes are carefully themed to deepen the students' experience of yoga.  A flow of Sun Salutes and postures are skillfully sequenced, and modifications are used to individualize the practice for each student.  The YogaWorks Teacher Training Program is based on this clear and effective style of practice.

YogaWorks signature classes are paced moderately to vigorously depending upon the level.  As a beginner, you can start with Level 1 and gradually build up to more advanced levels as your practices grows.
