Talin first fell in love with Pilates after her second child was born 12 years ago. She loved the stretching, strengthening and mainly the confidence it gave her to bounce back after pregnancy. She received her classical, New York-style Pilates certification through Master teacher, Jill Cassady, and has been teaching for 6 years. In addition to her Pilates certification, Talin is also a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Council of Strength and Fitness and recently completed a two month training program with Equinox Training Fitness Academy. Talin incorporates Pilates and strength/endurance training to her classes to give each client a full workout. She strongly believes that fitness is essential to good health and positive state of mind. Talin makes sure her classes are motivating and fun, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of exercise.
Why I Practice
Pilates has given me the confidence in moving on to other forms of exercise. I now know how to be more in tune with my body and mind and how to get the most out of any exercise routine I choose. I also feel my posture, and core strength has improved, diminishing my lower back pain.
Why I Teach
I want to teach people how to be more mind/body conscious. Becoming more body aware through pilates will enable anyone to tone and strengthen the muscles we overlook while exercising.
I am inspired by people who put that extra effort and commitment into improving their lives and becoming healthier and happier through exercise. Then wanting to give back what they’ve learned to the community, through volunteerism and charity.
