Why I Practice
Each day, I choose to practice for a different reason. Sometimes it is to feel alive and energized, other times to relax, and still other times because it is the only thing that will get me out of bed. Ultimately, my daily practice is like eating or sleeping; it keeps me alive and healthy in my physical, psychological, and spiritual beings.
Why I Teach
I have received a lot from the practice, so I decided to pay some of that forward by taking on the seat of the teacher. My hope as a teacher is always to guide students in the discovery of a practice that will help them heal and grow on many levels. My heart is warmed every time I step into the studio and find yogis eager to learn.
I am inspired by each yogi I have encountered on my journey - from those who practice on the mat next to me to the teachers who have deepened my own understanding of the practice. In particular, I am inspired by my teacher, Rebecca Benenati, who constantly helps me to see the beauty and intricacy of the practice.
