Description

These workshops will reveal the deeper dimensions of Yin and Yang yoga. From the stillness of yin comes motion. The purpose of Yin yoga is to grow the body flexible and promote healing, to develop our flow of energy, and to enliven our innate ability to move with fluidity, power, and grace. ??Paulie’s approach to yoga is about following our own individual path. By presenting his art in a personal, authentic, and accessible manner Paulie gently guides us in opening to our intuitive hearts and discovering the unique artist that is inherent in each of us.

In this experiential weekend we will explore both the yin and yang aspects of Taoist yoga postures that are inspired by the characteristic movements of animals and that activate the elemental forces contained within our energetic field. Through this practice we fully engage our connection with the natural world, we awaken to our spontaneous and playful spirit, we transcend the boundaries of assumed limitations and learn more than just a technique for doing yoga, we learn a way of being yoga, of living it in our day to day lives. We can then bring these gifts to the lives of those we touch.

Flow Yoga
Flow Yoga incorporates both Yin Yoga Postures of stillness and Yang Yoga postures for developing core strength, muscle tone, balance, and stamina. More than just a sequence of postures, in Yin and Yang Flow the process of transition from pose to pose is as integral to the practice as the postures themselves. The Taoist style of movement in Flow yoga incorporates smooth and circular motion that invigorates our life force and natural freedom of expression in the body.

Yin Yoga
Grow with your practice and enhance self-awareness by returning to the source of being and the mystery that informs all of life. In this workshop we will hold postures of stillness to clear energetic blockages, improve circulation, and unlock the joints while focusing on the breath and visualizations for grounding, relaxation, and developing suppleness.
