The fusion and juxtaposition of culture and practice on and off the mat.
Why I Practice
It gives me the opportunity to approach physical and mental challenge with a sense of playfulness and compassion. I find it is an astounding platform for practicing awareness, presence, and the beauty of moving with the breath as well as staying still and hearing the voice of the body. It can be as rigorous or as soft as you want it to be, but it can always meet you where you are.
Why I Teach
My students are so inspiring to me and sharing the practice with them helps me to stay connected to what is both fierce and gentle in the world in a very good way. Teaching keeps me on my toes and keeps me constantly exploring new ways of sharing what I love with those in the classroom.
