I am inspired by my students who I am so fortunate to get to meet each day on the mat. I am inspired by the seeds of study that continue to blossom and root from my studies with Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Don and Amba Stapleton, David Moreno, yoga for scoliosis with Elise Browning Miller, Ayurveda with Kameko Shibata, and Prenatal yoga with Marisa Toriggino. I am also a California licensed massage therapist and continually inspired by my massage and anatomy teachers including Art Riggs, Thomas Myers, and Narelle Carter-Quinlan. I am inspired by my two year old son who teaches me at the same time to let go, trust, love, and laugh with my whole being and also to remember how fleeting this all is.
Why I Practice
I practice to reclaim my own sacred internal space and to have a more vibrant experience of the sacred that is already, always all around me. I practice to heal and nurture my bodymind so that I can shine brighter in my life as a mother, as a wife, as a teacher, and beyond all these labels as a Being.
Why I Teach
My work is a labor of love and has brought me to teach in yoga studios internationally, to work therapeutically with private clients, to teach for an NBA basketball team, an NCAA diving team, at the San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Ballet.
