My inspiration will forever be to work for ahimsa. I work with the One Love Foundation as an advocate for youth education about relationship violence and use yoga as another avenue to teach nonviolence.
Why I Practice
Practice is meditative and increases my mental clarity and mindfulness. More physically demanding classes take me so inward that my mind becomes still, and afterwards it is difficult to remember the sequences we did. I love that feeling of total immersion and letting go at the same time.
Why I Teach
Yoga is for everyone, and everyone can benefit. In such a crazy, at times violent world, we can begin societal transformation by taking care of our own minds and bodies and understanding that we are all the same. I love to share the yogic philosophy with students and watch them grow spiritually while also increasing their confidence in their physical bodies.
