I am truly inspired by the teaching of two master teachers, Natasha Rizopoulos and Jacqui Bonwell. The combination of my 500-hour training from these two brilliant teachers has allowed me to find my voice and has shaped my teaching. From their teachings I have been able to find the balance between Sthira (steadiness, courage, strength) and Sukha (ease, grace, kindness). This is what I teach and how I try to live my life.
Why I Practice
I practice yoga because it makes me so incredibly happy. My practice helps quiet my mind and find balance between fear and ego, between length and strength, and between breath and movement. Each time I practice I learn something new; it is a journey of self discovery. Learning to be more comfortable with being uncomfortable on and off my mat has enhanced my life tremendously. I am so grateful for my yoga practice.
Why I Teach
I teach yoga because I love it! The practice has changed my life profoundly, and I want to help change the lives of my students. Being a yoga teacher comes with the responsibility to be of service to others, to help enhance people's lives and make the world a better place. We can do it together, one yogi at a time.
