My peers and teachers in the yoga community: the people I practice with and teach daily. My family, my dog, Lake Michigan. Home. Music. Dusk.
Why I Practice
I practice because it makes me a happier human. My daily Ashtanga Vinyasa practice is how I connect to myself. It clears the channels through which I communicate and make choices. My practice calms my mind, opens my heart, and keeps my body strong and healthy. Most of all, as I've watched my practice grow and change over the last 20 years, I've found the ability to observe the impermanence in all things, which helps me better appreciate life in all its fleeting beauty.
Why I Teach
I've been teaching 15 years now, and there is nothing better than connecting with the community of students. It is a gift to bear witness to them as they develop and grow their practice. Creating a space for them so that they can continue to experience the benefits of yoga is a joy and an honor.
