Billy Asad has been a student of yoga since 1993. His teachings carry an influence from the many different styles of yoga he has studied, including Ashtanga, Iyengar and Sivananda Yoga. Drawing from his athletic background, he incorporates poses that help strengthen and create flexibility in order to open the body. An outdoor enthusiast, Billy leads yoga and adventure retreats around the world, combining the benefits of a yoga practice with surfing, hiking and mountain climbing. Billy has been teaching at Yoga Works in Los Angeles for the last twelve years and incorporates the yoga works method in all of his teaching. He is featured in many yoga videos, wellness magazines and writes articles for sports yoga in Healthy living and Men’s health.
