Fill your tool-kit with experiential anatomy practices and selfcare strategies to heighten your understanding of the lower body. Improve strength, mobility and integrated body awareness. You’ll be guided through a variety of hands-on adjustments, assessments, injury scenarios that can be utilized in your classroom, with private clients, or you’re your personal practice. Gain insight on incorporating novel lower body movements into your teaching modality.

Each day begins with a performance-focused workshop that incorporates self-massage techniques using a variety of Roll Model ® Therapy Balls followed by a movement-based session loaded with out-of- the box moves. Master your lower body connectivity to improve posture and performance while reducing pain.

Experience a flow style practice dedicated to strengthening and stretching your hips.

This workshop was inspired by requests from students like you! So many of us have tight hip flexors, hamstrings, and glutes from our day to day activities. In this workshop we will target these areas in a flow style practice. We will build heat and strengthen before cooling down and moving into long stretches. You will also leave with a short practice sequence for continued work at home.

Students should have a minimum of 6 months of yoga experience. Not recommended for those with hip injuries.

If you're like most of us, backbends can be quite emotionally and physically challenging. They're the opposite action of our everyday activities such as texting, driving, sitting at computers, and bending to pick up kids. Backbends are so healing partly because they reverse these habitual motions. They open up space, energize, and restore balance to our bodies and our lives.

Find balance Upside Down.
Inversions are empowering poses that teach us about our inner strength, playfulness and courage aswell as our ability to create lightness and space. Explore the alignment, breath and core building techniques to deepen your inversion practice with confidence and ease. Students will learn to develop the strength, coordination and stability to find success while balancing upside down.

In this 2.5 hour workshop you'll learn how to use and integrate your muscles to keep you safe and strong in backbends, inversions and inverted backbends. Starting with simple actions, Amy will teach you the important but usually overlooked details on how to access the upper back and how to open the front of the body with care. Then she will build on these basics to take you deeper into your backbends and help you find stability while inverted.

BRAZILIAN YOGA SCULPT: YOGA + CAPOEIRA

Brazilian Yoga Sculpt is yoga with some kick!

Experience the fluid movements from the Brazilian martial art Capoeira and combine them with vinyasa yoga while flowing powerfully to the rhythms of electronic dance music and tribal beats.

This workshop will be divided into 4 parts: Master Class (45 min), Skills & Drills (90 min), Final Flow (30 min) and Intention Circle (15 min). The Master Class will get your body moving and introduce you to the basic capoeira and yoga movements, as well as the how the music is used to amplify the class. Skills & Drills will help you get grounded in the 7 fundamental Capoeira movements we call The Sacred Seven. Final Flow will revisit the vinyasa flow from the Master Class, but with more technique and added Capoeira movements. Intention Circle will include Savasana and an intention setting from each person to carry off their mat.
