FRI, SAT, SUN 9:30AM-4:30PM
$540 | $495 if paid before 11/7 - In-studio only training
$1,945 | $1,795 if paid before 11/7 Combined in-studio & online training* (75-hr CE)
2301 Main Street Santa Monica, CA 90405
Study with Bo Forbes in a groundbreaking 3-day immersion that introduces a new framework for understanding individual and collective well-being. This workshop builds on Bo’s previous body of work in psychology and science by considering the larger social systems that create and uphold disempowerment, isolation and vulnerable populations. We will explore the new science of emotional well-being from a holistic, systems perspective, and re-examine yoga as a source of change. We will also consider what’s missing from yoga and contemplative traditions, and how we can restore it.
The weekend is designed for practitioners of all levels and combines a seamless blend of movement, practical theory, and dialogue. Participants will gain an extensive collection of multi-disciplinary tools to integrate into practicing, teaching, and daily life.
This immersion includes:
The immersion is paired with an opportunity for continued study in Bo’s incredible online learning community through your choice of two courses: Super Vision in Yoga, Science, Psychology and Social Justice or Yoga, Mindfulness, Neuroscience and the Body. Bo’s online courses are delivered on an engaging learning platform and give you the chance to learn, practice and integrate while supported by a vibrant online community.
All online courses are accredited with the Yoga Alliance and the American Psychological Association. Students who complete the combined in-person and online training may qualify for a 75 hr CE certificate.
Continue study with your choice of the following online courses:
Online Option 1: Super Vision in Yoga, Science, Psychology and Social Justice
The three-day in-person immersion lays the groundwork for understanding how individual health and collective well-being are linked. This online course takes these insights further. Together, over a period of several months, we explore issues of privilege and intersectionality in the yoga, wellness, and spiritual spaces. This course diverges from the traditional “independent study” style of many online courses. We combine community-sourced learning, study, and Super Vision from Bo, Kathryn, and senior teachers in our community. This course is highly interactive and is completed through a series of live online meetings, study groups, and weekly audio content from Bo. We infuse this course with insights from our latest collaborations, research, scholarship, and collaborations in neuroscience, contemplative practice, and social justice.
Online Option 2: Yoga, Mindfulness, Neuroscience and The Body
We know that our yoga practice helps us feel better, but how long do those benefits usually last? What are the tools that transform our practice from one which makes us feel good for a short while to one that is unequivocally life-changing? This course takes a deep dive into the art and science of embodiment, and focuses on the integration of therapeutic elements into yoga practice. You’ll learn new ways of looking at health and well-being that depart from modern medical paradigms of problem-based, protocol-focused healing. From chronic pain to mental health, this course explores the role of body-based practices in some of the most pervasive health challenges of our time. This course was filmed live and delivers exciting content that you can access at your own pace.
*For additional information and questions about online learning with Bo, continuing education credits, or other inquiries please contact Kathryn at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit Bo's website, www.boforbes.com.

It’s about time we looked at the practice in new ways.
This workshop is for students and teachers alike who are ready to be inspired and leave behind the things that aren’t working. Whether you’ve stagnated on your mat, or just been away for awhile, this experience will the perfect way to reinvigorate your yoga for the new year.
This week long series will take an honest look at some of the stuff we’ve been doing in modern yoga and offer ways to improve upon it. There is so much current research happening around yoga and movement. We will be using some of this new information to inform and refine what we are doing with our bodies. It will be a very physical week so be prepared for a challenge.
Some yoga experience will be beneficial, towels necessary.
Vytas has created his expertise from almost 20 years of studying and practicing. He is one of the leaders in helping modern yoga find its footing in the mainstream. His functional and technical approach to a classic methodology has won over many people and helped them reap the benefits of the practice. After years of struggling with addiction, yoga was one of the things that helped him turn his life around and truly find peace. This inspiration is what drives Vytas to help others find comfort in their state of being. Although his yoga is physically demanding and will transform your body into its highest state, it is also an exercise in releasing stress and finding clarity.
Calvin After growing up around the yoga community and being very resistant to the idea of doing yoga, I caved shortly after graduating college and began to practice yoga regularly. Shortly after that, I began to study with my teacher, mentor and good friend Vinnie Marino at YogaWorks. My formal training began with a 200 hr teacher training at YogaWorks with Iyengar teacher Jenny Aurthur and Jesse Schein and continued on to complete my 300 hr teacher training at YogaWorks as well assisting in the Ashtanga room most of my days. As a student I enjoy practicing many different styles of yoga and have been fortunate enough to study with a variety of senior teachers including Lisa Walford, Maty Ezraty and even Sharath Jois in Mysore, India. My classes are a blend of all the styles I practice (Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Iyengar) and I am known for creative sequencing, upbeat music and overall being pretty challenging. I teach mainly out of YogaWorks in Santa Monica which I hold very dearly as this is where I began with my daily practice.
