Prenatal Yoga
What is Prenatal Yoga?
Prenatal yoga uses an array of relaxation techniques, gentle yoga postures and dynamic breathwork to keep women’s bodies strong, open and practicing yoga as they prepare for the birth of their little one. Practicing prenatal yoga is a wonderful way for pregnant yogis to maintain strength and flexibility throughout pregnancy, improve balance and mobility, and increase overall energy levels and blood flow.According to the American Pregnancy Association, benefits of prenatal yoga include:
- Improved sleep
- Reduced stress
- Increased strength, flexibility and endurance
- Decreased lower back pain
- Decreased nausea
- Decreased carpal tunnel syndrome
- Decreased headaches
- Deepen meditation practice
- Reduced risk of preterm labor
Prenatal yoga is one of the best ways to maintain physical and mental strength and comfort throughout pregnancy, soothing mama-to-be and baby from the outside in.
"It was my first time taking prenatal yoga, it was amazing.”
