I firmly believe that we are all students in this lesson of life, and I continue to draw inspiration from my fellow students and teachers on the mat. Off the mat, I am inspired by my partner and my family (who practice yoga as well).

Why I Practice

I believe that yoga is the most powerful tool in the world to elevate ourselves physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I came to the practice in 2011 overweight, stressed out, and with pain in my joints. On my mat, I shed the weight, learned how to manage my stress, and found safe and strong ways to be in my body. I love to sweat and work hard and to balance that with meditation, mantra, and breath-work (pranayama).

Why I Teach

I believe that is there is a style of yoga is for everyone, and it is my goal to help you on your path to self-actualization, inner tranquility, and physical ease. Especially in our 21st century reality, having skills in your toolbox that allow you to stay mindful and compassionate will only make the world a better place.
