All of my teachers, my family, nature, creativity, and kindness
Why I Practice
I practice because it slows me down and connects me to my first home, my body. My practice of yoga started in elementary school in India. I can still vividly remember how magnificent it felt to tune out from the hectic, hurried, worried world and to connect within. What I recall most is how safe, nourished, and inspired I felt once again. I came from an abusive home, so I can safely say meditation and yoga (in many forms) have saved me and enriched my heart, body, and mind in priceless ways. I feel all of the above every time I step on my mat.
Why I Teach
Teaching is a mindful practice for me. I love teaching because I want everyone to feel better in their bodies, hearts, and minds; I want to share the many positive benefits of yoga and meditation with my community.
