I have been inspired by many powerful teachers from the Iyengar tradition. My teaching and practice has been most notably informed by Mary Lou Weprin, whose personal practice and use of language has touched me deeply.
Why I Practice
I practice because it is an opportunity for me to experience movement in an intelligent and creative way. Yoga stimulates my mind and my body, leaving me feeling fresh and curious every day. In addition, yoga is a living art that must be practiced in order for it to survive. I keep that art alive out of love for the practice and love for my teachers who have given me the tools to experience yoga for myself.
Why I Teach
Teaching yoga is first and foremost an art. It is my love of this amazing art and my daily practice that led to my teaching yoga, and I have found tremendous joy in helping others experience the benefits of the practice.
