All of my teachers, my students, my friends, my family, my husband, my dog, sunshine, the ocean, star gazing, a delicious meal, the big questions, the process, and rolling around on the floor.
Why I Practice
I practice yoga to access a more radiant energy. It's the moments on my mat that I am able to find clarity and strength; to peel back the layers of the onion- self-doubt, confusion or societal pressure, so that I can live fearlessly and with a sense of purpose. My practice is a gift that allows me to attune and align, to quiet my mind and tune in to the rhythm of my breath and the beat of my own heart. It's a moment where I can just be. The beauty of yoga is that with practice that moment becomes more and more available, I just keep showing up.
Why I Teach
Yoga is a guiding light to self-inquiry and discovery. Teaching challenges me to deepen my knowledge and understanding, not only of yoga but also of myself. I teach with the hope that I can give the gifts that I have received (and continue to receive) from my teachers.
