Inspirations
My mentors who believe in me and encourage me to be my best self inspire me. I'm inspired by truth, authenticity, walking along the ocean, my family, laughter, painting, creating, traveling, meditation, and witnessing students transform their practice and lives -- it’s truly magnificent.
Why I Practice
Yoga saved me, healed me. Yoga continues to teach me and inspire me. Yoga is my greatest love affair; it slows me down, and it makes me pause, focus, pay attention, and go inward. Yoga helps me quiet my inner chatter; it reminds me to love myself. Yoga guides me toward acceptance of what is and to truly see myself in all beings. Yoga reminds me to observe my thoughts and not react to the emotions or impulses that come up. I look forward to breathing, moving, and sitting still, finding comfort within my own body and mind, under any circumstances. Yoga is magic, and I am grateful for every day I get to practice.
Why I Teach
Teaching for me is an opportunity, a privilege to share what I have learned. I believe the physical practice is the stepping stone; it gets us started, wakes us up, wrings us out, and opens the window of wisdom, light, and the possibility of who we truly are – uniquely perfect, just as is, here to contribute and share our gifts with the world. My intentions as a teacher are to ignite passion, empower, inspire, and guide students toward self-acceptance while having fun and playing and to know that anything is possible.
