I am inspired by Iyengar yoga, swimming, triathlons, running marathons, and partaking in any challenge that takes me out of my comfort zone because only when we recognize that we can't do it on our own can we connect with others and draw on a strength other than our own.
Why I Practice
I practice yoga so I can stay sane, finding my bearing by getting grounded in breath and in yoga poses that bring peace and calm to my heart. Practicing yoga slows down my anxious thoughts and takes away my anxiety. I am a better person as a result.
Why I Teach
I teach to provide a place for students to release stress, to help students find comfort in a potentially challenging yoga environment, and to calm the heart regardless of what one is going through.
