Music and dance that have a lot of soul and freedom, nature and watching my plants grow, cooking for a crowd
Why I Practice
I came to yoga and Ayurveda from a stressful, jam-packed life with debilitating allergies and asthma and too much on my plate. Tired of medication, stress, doctors, and caffeine, I was willing to try anything. Through the practices of yoga and Ayurveda, I discovered how to take charge of my own life: to heal, to explore, to be grounded, and to thrive.
Why I Teach
A specialist in helping New Yorkers learn self-care, my yoga classes, food, and practical tools for daily living have helped many people find balance and strength to handle the variety of challenges that life provides. In my classes, students learn how to safely explore their edges with the intelligence of good alignment and the curiosity of an open heart. I provide clear, concise instruction using principles of anatomy and biomechanics, shared through the lenses of yoga philosophy, mythology, and Ayurveda. My distinct and playful approach to life will win your heart and inspire your own practice.
