Why I Practice
Practicing yoga brings me into a more balanced state in which I feel calmer, clearer, and more compassionate. When I practice yoga I feel more comfortable and confident physically and mentally. It really helps me become more grounded and peaceful.
Why I Teach
When teaching, I need to be fully present in order to focus on sequencing and instructing poses while also observing and adjusting students. It becomes a form of yoga: focusing in the moment, practicing compassion toward others, becoming more grounded and balanced. So not only do I get to share the benefits of yoga with my students, I, too, reap those benefits every time I teach.
