“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old but on building the new.” ~Socrates
Yoga students inspire me. I’m moved by their dedication to a practice that improves health, builds meaningful connections with the community, and transforms lives. I feel blessed to practice with and guide students in this art.
Why I Practice
I began a Bikram yoga practice because I’m a vegan, so I wanted to detox and sweat. I soon realized that the practice helps my runner’s body feel better and that yoga gives me a time to put everything on “hold” so I can connect with myself. I feel healthy, vibrant, and connected with myself and others when I practice. This heightened awareness I experience continues to draw me to the mat every day.
Why I Teach
The benefits of a consistent practice made me want to spread the power of yoga to as many people as possible. I love teaching and I love being a yoga student. It is an honor to work in an uplifting and positive atmosphere where students transform their lives with the peace yoga can offer.
