My guru is my daughter. She challenges me, empowers me, and loves me unconditionally. I teach and practice for her and because of her. I am forever grateful for what she teaches me each and every day.
Why I Practice
I found yoga as a practice when running and other exercise ran dry. While I had never considered myself religious or spiritual, I found my own unique spirituality in movement, breath, and sweat. In yoga, I discovered strength buried beneath self-doubt. I practice to remind myself of who I am and what I am capable of.
Why I Teach
I'm not sure I really teach anything. I'd say I offer a revealing -- a soft light laid on the dark places. Leading a yoga class is an incredible gift, and I'm so honored to have the opportunity to hold space for others.
