My inspiration comes from my teachers Roger and Albina Rippy and Bernie Clark. I'm also regularly inspired by the growth I see in my friends, students, and the amazing yoga teachers in my community.
Why I Practice
I practice to connect with my body and to my deeper self. I started practicing hot yoga in 2012 as a way to lose weight. What I didn't expect was all the personal growth that came along with it. I was inspired by my teachers to take the RYT-200 training at YogaOne in 2015. The training changed my life for the better and reiterated why I practice. By practicing regularly, I have alleviated my chronic low back pain, gotten stronger, and have fallen in love with my body - no matter its size.
Why I Teach
I teach to share the gift of connection and the revelations that I experience on the mat myself. I really enjoy seeing my students find new space in their bodies and make the same connections that I found with my body and mind through yoga.
