I'm constantly inspired by the persistence and ingenuity of the human spirit, people who march to the beat of their own drum, and humans who have a desire to truly connect and create lasting community. I've had many teachers that regularly influence me and also ones I've never met. I'm deeply moved by mother nature and movement.
Why I Practice
My practice reminds me of my strength but also constantly reminds me to surrender and trust. I don't practice to reach enlightenment necessarily; I practice to become the human I want to be. Yoga allows me to tap into and grow into that potential.
Why I Teach
I teach because this practice is a gift and gifts are meant to be shared. I create a playful, inviting space where students can get curious about sensations and connect to their body, mind, and breath. I emphasize alignment to create longevity of a yoga practice. I teach to remind students to embrace duality -- we are enough, yet it's okay to want to be a better human. I teach acceptance of what is as it is right now plus unconditional curiosity.
