GET TO KNOW THE TRAINER
Born in Hawaii and raised in South Carolina, Gigi now lives and teaches in the Venice and Santa Monica areas of Los Angeles, CA. Gigi completed her YogaWorks 500-hour certification in 2007 and leads YogaWorks 200-hour teacher trainings every year at the YogaWorks Santa Monica Teacher Training Center. She is also a licensed massage therapist, aromatherapist, and Reiki practitioner. Gigi is inspired by nature, her teachers, the words of sages, animals, time, art, injuries, any perceived failings and triumphs, and the love and light of others. She practices yoga because it is an amazing alchemical process which continues to transform her experience here on Earth. Gigi believes she speaks the sentiments of many when she says, “that I am truly in love with yoga and simply cannot imagine my life without!” Why does Gigi teach yoga? “Because of the inspiring changes that come about for the practitioners; there is something magical that happens when one devotes themselves to the practice and study of the ancient art and science of yoga. It is an honor to be of service to others on their journey!”
