Many students struggle with inversions, or avoid them, but they are some of the most rewarding poses that hatha yoga has to offer. In this workshop we will explore ways to approach these poses safely and with confidence, including handstand, elbow balance, headstand and shoulder-stand and their variations
 
Students will receive these benefits:
Increased confidence to incorporate inversions into their regular practice
 Useful variations to make inversions more accessible, interesting and alive
 A safe space to explore challenges, fears and obstacles around getting upside down, whether a beginner or advanced practitioner

Tony Briggs began his study of yoga 40 years ago and has taught public classes, workshops, teacher trainings and mentored advanced teachers in the Bay Area for over 32 years. In his studies, he had the good fortune to study directly under BKS Iyengar, both in India and here in the US.
