Hands-On Assists is an experiential training designed to help you cultivate a safe environment, appropriate protocol, and skillful techniques for hands-on assists during restoratives poses.
Cultivate the full potential of your hands-on offerings, helping your students access deeper states of healing and insight. With an emphasis on savasana, we explore how to sense your students’ needs and how to use touch to move energy. Each trainee discovers their personal style and abilities and develops confidence in their approach to hands-on teaching and healing.

This module will be comprised of demonstrations, partner work, lecture, discussion, and a training manual.
Topics covered include:
• Simple techniques for using touch therapeutic during restorative yoga poses
• Working with special body positioning to help release tension, move energy, and support deeper healing
• Dealing with injury and illness as well as energetic and emotional release
• Creating boundaries

Jillian Pransky, author of Deep Listening, has taught mindfulness, yoga, and meditation for 25 years. Jillian is a certified yoga therapist recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Jillian serves as the director of the Restorative Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training for YogaWorks, and a guest teacher at many renowned holistic learning centers, including Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, the Omega Institute, and 1440 Multiversity. Her Calm Body, Clear Mind DVD and Relaxmore CD have garnered excellent reviews from Dr. Mehmet Oz, Yoga Journal, and many others. Jillian is a featured yoga expert for Prevention Magazine. A student of Pema Chodron's work since 1998, Jillian infuses her classes with mindfulness practices, compassion, and ease. Her seamless style of working simultaneously with the body, mind, and spirit, while attuning with nature and the environment, creates inspiring classes and an integrative healing experience.
