This training will focus on incorporating slow, mindful flow yoga sequences into class warm ups, prior to meditation, and/or restorative practices. Gain the ability to provide a nourishing, introspective, and restoring practice for yourself and the students you teach.
 
Learn how to:
• Use slow mindful flow as a warm up or in combination with restorative practices.
• Create balance between activity and receptivity, strength and openness, calmness and energy.
• Weave creative sequencing and themes to harmonize movement with stillness.
• Balance the nervous system while cultivating a sustainable mindfulness practice.
• Integrate minimal props for restorative postures.
• Guide students into deeper states of relaxation through focus on chakras and koshas.
 
This module will include several experiential exercises, discussion, demonstration, and lecture. Participants will finish the training with creative inspiration to bring into personal practice, flow classes, privates, meditation, and restorative classes.

Jillian Pransky, author of Deep Listening, has taught mindfulness, yoga, and meditation for 25 years. Jillian is a certified yoga therapist recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Jillian serves as the director of the Restorative Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training for YogaWorks, and a guest teacher at many renowned holistic learning centers, including Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, the Omega Institute, and 1440 Multiversity. Her Calm Body, Clear Mind DVD and Relaxmore CD have garnered excellent reviews from Dr. Mehmet Oz, Yoga Journal, and many others. Jillian is a featured yoga expert for Prevention Magazine. A student of Pema Chodron's work since 1998, Jillian infuses her classes with mindfulness practices, compassion, and ease. Her seamless style of working simultaneously with the body, mind, and spirit, while attuning with nature and the environment, creates inspiring classes and an integrative healing experience.

Full payment is required to reserve a space in workshops. All workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made two weeks or more prior to workshop start date will be issued store credit. No store credit will be given for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to workshop start date.
