Jin/Shin: Yin Yoga & Art of Jin Shin
by
Alexis Brink
Yin Yoga is long held, passive, deep stretches of connective tissue, so no muscle engagement whatsoever but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still a challenge. These passive poses are held for 3-5 minutes at a time on average which allows the purposeful stress to move into the deeper tissues, the results of which are stronger, healthier joints and bones with much more room for movement and muscle structure. These poses also work along energy lines within the body which is where the Art of Jin Shin pairs perfectly. By holding different SEL’s while surrendering into the pose it deliberately assists in opening up the energy pathway. From our own experiences the Yin/Shin combination eases the sensation in the body while simultaneously refocusing and calming the mind.
Students will learn to:.
• refocus and calm the mind. • strengthen joints and bones. • release tension in the body. • connect mind, body, and spirit. Jin/Shin: Yin Yoga & Art of Jin Shin Alexis Brink December 7 Saturday | 3:30-5:30 pm $60 by November 30 | $75 after*
