A Teacher Training to share yoga with the 4 and under crowd!

If you enjoy interacting with crawlers to 4yr olds, wonder how to share the benefits and joys of yoga with them, then this training will give you the tools and guidance to do so. This is appropriate for caregivers, parents, yoga teachers or day care providers.

Once babies become mobile it can be hard to find activities to do with them especially yoga. In this training we will explore activities and yoga poses that are appropriate for crawlers, toddlers and 2-4 yr olds. Time will be given to practice teaching them, discuss how to approach and engage this age group while basking in the joy that only this age can share. No previous experience teaching yoga necessary just an open heart to work with little ones.

"Siobhan could answer questions with practical examples. Her experience teaching the class really came through as we went through poses and explanations. Plus she was able to give developmental examples to explain what the poses provide to kids and what we should expect in class in terms of behavior both for parents and kids." - Trainee participant

Our schedule will include observing Siobhan teaching two classes:

Friday, January 24, 4:00 to 8:00pm

4:00-4:30pm - Orientation
4:30-5:15pm - Observe class
5:30-8:00pm - How to teach + poses

Saturday, January 25, 11:30 to 5:30pm

11:00-:1:30pm - How to teach + poses
2:00-4:15pm - Practice teaching, How to get started
4:15-5:00pm - Observe & assist class
5:00-5:30pm - Wrap up & Questions

Siobhan Troy-Carranza has been teaching yoga to tots & tykes since 2008, she loved doing yoga with her daughter when she was a toddler but it was very hard to find classes. Siobhan has done the Radiant Child Teacher Training as well as Helen Garabidian's Itsy Bitsy Yoga. Teaching crawlers, toddlers and pre-schoolers is the highlight of her teaching career what may seem like chaos is actually pure joy.
