YogaWorks Teacher Training is back in NYC with Yuval Samburski and Laurel Beversdorf. While both Yuval and Laurel have led countless trainings on their own, this January they will join forces for the first time to lead a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at our Soho Teacher Training Center. Laurel brings a diverse background to her trainings, including studies in Yoga Tune Up®, Feldenkrais, and Yoga with Resistance Bands. Yuval has led trainings all over the world, including Italy, China, Japan, India, and Bali. Join him in his hometown to discover what the YogaWorks method is all about. Deepen your personal practice and gain the skills to teach yoga in NYC with Yuval and Laurel this January.

Since 1990, YogaWorks has been a leader in yoga education, and our celebrated alumni have gone on to become some of the world’s most renowned yoga teachers. The YogaWorks Yoga Teacher Training program blends yoga traditions from the east and west, integrating both into a practical and unique method that combines vinyasa flow with an emphasis on alignment and skillful sequencing. Our mission is to provide each student with the necessary foundation to skillfully teach yoga with compassion, safety and integrity, while honoring his or her individual voice and style. Whether you join us to become a yoga teacher or simply to deepen your own yoga practice, the YogaWorks yoga teacher training will uniquely prepare you to leave your mark on the world.

Laurel Beversdorf

Laurel is a senior 200-hour and 300-hour teacher, teacher trainer, and mentor at YogaWorks in NYC as well as an integrated Yoga Tune Up® teacher and trainer. She fuses movement inspired by her interdisciplinary studies in Feldenkrais, Yoga with Resistance Bands, weight-lifting, and self-massage into her classes, workshops, and online courses. Laurel’s life has taken her around many learning curves, ones in which she has battled feelings of inadequacy and not belonging. From small town Wisconsin where she grew up to NYC to be an actor and eventually a yoga teacher, trainer and workshop presenter, life keeps teaching Laurel that self-acceptance is the super skill. The key to relaxed confidence and a feeling of belonging, no matter where you find yourself, is to befriend yourself and learn to heal yourself through that process. In the classes and trainings Laurel teaches, she offers years of experience and the tools she has learned along the way toward living with more embodied confidence. Laurel invites students to quietly and persistently pay attention and trust. Whether it be in their power to do a pose, to relax fully, to demonstrate a strength beyond their imagination, or to stand up in front of a room and lead a yoga class with quiet, potent poise. Her aim is to help students uncover a sense of belonging in their bodies that helps them to feel more relaxed and confident in their lives, the lives through with they transform the world.
